Nadir D'Priest is the lead singer of Legendary LA glam band London, who founder Lizzie Grey even nicknamed the 'training camp for future rockstars’  in Decline Of Western Civilization part two. A set of extraordinary heavy metal god like pipes as heard on songs such as Werewolves In London and Russian Winter, London has regrouped in 2019 with a brand new album Call That Girl. I sat down with D”Priest and discussed the beginning of his tenure in the band and Londons future. When did you decide you wanted to sing in a rock n roll band? When I was a little kid I was a drummer so I basically started as a drummer and moved onto singing early in life. Who were you early influences? Geezer are a trippy doom band injected with the blues from Kingston,NY. Their latest EP Spiral Fires is another great Cosmic Stoner Blues record. Spiral Fires part 1 starts off with very trippy sound effects reminiscent of Pink Floyd. Very spacey. Then a dirge, raunchy blues riff comes and this three piece does crushing blues similar to that on the first two Black Sabbath records. The groove and the lyrics combine perfectly to create an awesome song. So fucking heavy and spacey. The production is wonderful and raw. Spiral Fires part Two starts off with the same riff but played quietly with the drums while the guitar is floating and buzzing over by saturn echoing throughout the milky way. Then a amazing atmospheric solo comes through. Sublime improvised vocalizations come in as well, such a vibey tune. Melancholia is the second album by Vanha from Sweden. As the title suggests, it's a beautiful Death Doom album. With atmosphere of longing and desperation and dark tranquility permeate like a moon over a mausoleum. The Road starts us off with dark soft ambient guitars slowly rising from a rotting tomb. Spoken word insues as the music builds ever so slowly and forlorn. Then it kicks in. So slow and despair ridden, medieval, and beautiful. Amazing guitar work, solos are amazing. Almost reminscent of Iron Maiden in sense of the melodies guitar wise here. Absolutely astonishing. Storm Of Grief has some beautiful riffs here. Haunting and creating an atmosphere that's thick and intense and beautiful all at the same time. Using growls on this one, its so fucking amazing. So heavy it could crush a church.
